Bringing therapists and educators together
to create more opportunities for children to participate, learn and grow.
BOOM Kids Clinic partners with childcare centres, kindergartens and playgroups to bring allied health expertise into the environments where children spend their day. Our therapists work alongside educators to identify needs early, provide practical support and build the skills and confidence of the people around each child.
Every early learning service is different. Our Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Dietitians can work alongside your team in a way that responds to the children, educators and priorities within your service.
Sometimes you know a child needs more support, but you're not sure what that support should look like.
Our therapists can observe individual children within their everyday environment, consult with educators and provide practical recommendations to support development, participation and inclusion. We can also work with your team around broader concerns within a room, helping educators understand what they are seeing and identify strategies they can put into practice.
Support can include observations, educator consultations, written recommendations and guidance around whether further assessment or support may be beneficial.
Bring therapy support directly into your early learning environment.
Our therapists can provide individual support for children within the centre, allowing therapy to focus on skills in the environment where they naturally need to use them. Working within the centre also creates opportunities to collaborate with educators and embed strategies into everyday play, routines and activities.
We can also deliver small group programs targeting areas such as play and interaction, communication, movement, participation and school readiness. Programs can be tailored to the needs of your children and delivered as a one-off program or across a term.
Give your educators practical skills they can use every day.
BOOM training sessions are delivered by our allied health team and designed specifically for early childhood environments. Rather than simply providing information, we focus on practical strategies educators can confidently apply within their rooms, routines and interactions with children.
Training can be tailored to your service and may cover areas such as supporting regulation, communication and play, recognising developmental concerns, building motor skills, creating inclusive environments, feeding and mealtimes, or supporting children with more complex needs.
Sessions can be delivered as workshops, professional development sessions or ongoing coaching for your team.
Allied health support may be more accessible than you think.
Some early learning services may be eligible for funding or grants that can support allied health involvement within their centre.
Through our partnership with Early Learning Australia, we can connect centres with their team to explore potential funding opportunities and understand what may be available to their service.
Where funding is available, it may help centres access supports such as therapist observations and consultation, in-centre support, group programs or educator training.
BOOM does not provide funding advice or manage the funding application process. Our role is simply to help connect you with Early Learning Australia so you can explore the possibilities directly with their team.
Access the combined knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Dietetics, with our team able to work together when a child's needs cross more than one area.
Our recommendations are designed to work in real early learning environments, with strategies that can be incorporated into existing routines, play and learning.
We want educators to understand how to support children beyond the time our therapist is there, building skills and confidence that can benefit the whole room.
From a single observation or training session to regular in-centre support, we can build a partnership around what your service actually needs.
